Every great game
has a story
Lili kicked things off. She showed up with a can demand belly rubs attitude. The she incorporated.
Loki joined us later. He didn't just tolerate Lili's overbearing personality, he signed up as a card carrying member of the local "Belly Rub Mafia" chapter. It helped that he was living with the chapter founder.
The game found its paws when my mother gifted Lili with a rubber hand grenade. She loved the way it bounced and changed direction. Then someone commented we should make a card game out of it.
Lili put her paw down immediately vetoing any idea that limited hiking time. Then she found out about e-commerce and the ability to trade cards for money and money for salmon.
We've been slaving away under threat of belly rub "donations" ever since, but she has been gracious enough to provide plenty of material.
Loki is always there for moral support and to make sure nobody forgets dinner time or dares to let a neighborhood dog walk past the yard unmolested.
